This is no time to curl up in the fetal position and whimper, m’Friends. Work has only just begun.
For this monstrosity to have passed, YEARS of incrementalism were needed. For years, voters who GET the most FROM Government have taken over every nook and cranny of the Machine of Government. Waking from a long apathetic nap, many working Americans today find themselves surprised. I’m not…but I pay attention, and I don’t watch network television news or read Big City newspapers.
Paco Enterprises – “…let’s not waste time wringing our hands over the “impossibility” of repealing this monstrosity. Repeal is impossible only if one is willing to view this legislation as an act of God. Now, Obama and Pelosi may consider themselves to be, respectively, Zeus and Hera – or, more likely, they both see themselves as Zeus – but we don’t have to. The one thing that is certain is that repeal of the health care bill will be impossible if we don’t try to repeal it.”
Mike Flynn at Big Government – “A victory for ObamaCare tonight, It will spark a public revolt that will wipe clean the progressive agenda for at least a generation. In battle, it is critically important to have clarity; to understand the fight you are in. If the Democrats pass ObamaCare tonight no one will have any doubts about the battle ahead. So, my political instincts say, “Bring it On. Let’s sort this out once and for all.”
The Daley Gator – Democrats made a mockery of bipartisanship by shoving Obamacare down the throats of Republican lawmakers and snubbing the popular majority that opposed it. The Democrats have undercut the credibility of the law they created.
Hyphenated American – “Today, we fight not only for our personal well-being – but for the dignity and honor of this country, for the right to look into the eyes of our children and say – we defended this nation from the perils of socialism. In November 2010, we will answer the crucial questions of our times – are American people worthy of the efforts of the Founding Fathers?”
