Multiple Counties Under Tornado Watch
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 1 p.m. for the following counties:
Counties in Florida: Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Clay, Columbia, Duval, Hamilton, Nassau, Putnam, St. Johns and Union.
Counties in Georgia: Appling, Bacon, Brantley, Bryan, Camden, Charlton, Chatham, Clinch, Echols, Glynn, Liberty, Long, McIntosh, Pierce, Ware and Wayne.
Tornadoes, thunderstorms, wind gusts to 70 mph and dangerous lightning are possible in these areas.
The tornado watch area is approximately 50 miles on either side of a line from 60 miles north northeast of Waycross, Ga., to 30 miles east of Gainesville, Fla.
A tornado watch means conditions are favorable for tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Most of those counties are also under a flood watch through this evening and St. Johns, Duval and Nassau and under a wind advisory until noon.
If that sleaze at the beach wants my husband to rescue her again, I just don’t know if I can stand it…but what can ya do…
We just have small earthquakes………..every day.
Is this system close to Cindy in Tignal, GA?
She has issues with severe weather, ya know.
She’s gonna get wet…maybe some flooding in low-lying areas. I LOVED the wind, but I may be one of the few who feels that way.
Here’s what they say about that… http://www.weather.com/weather/hurricanecentral/article/unsettled-southeast-developing-low-pressure_2011-10-09
