Bedtime quote

When you wake up every morning, you can either leap off the right side of the bed or tumble off the wrong side – and it’s entirely your choice. ~ Heather Lende
I had a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound this morning. The tests wouldn’t have bothered me so much if it hadn’t been colder than a refrigerator in the waiting room. I was so miserable by the time it was over, teeth chattering, shivering…just awful.

Good news, though, the thing that sent me there was just ‘dense, fibroid tissue.’ YAY!

And, that said, I’m finally going back to bed.

Glad that you’re okay. I went to the breast center next to the Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute, and it wasn’t too bad, then I had to get the MRI. THAT took so dang long I could barely walk when I got out!

  2. I told someone a few weeks ago – just before that other procedure I love so much – that I would happily have a mammogram every week if it meant I didn’t have to do the ‘other.’ So I got 2, in less than 6 months! Wasn’t exactly what I had in mind. I was a lot more relieved than I expected, I can tell you that.

Heh. So far in a year I’ve had four mammograms and one MRI. Dang, I feel like I’m falling apart. On the bright side, if I do that again this year, I won’t need a nightlight. My boobs will just glow in the dark.

    1. Two in 6 months is about my limit, I think. But Official Paper came in the mail yesterday, I’m good on mammograms for another couple years, IMHO.
