Zoom Air Adventure!

We went campering down Sanford way this weekend. Loved the campground we found – Clark Family Campground in Orange City.

We attended an Outdoor Activity Forum at the Zoo, which was well-attended. I am NOT happy with changes being made to the Florida Trail, but those in charge have no intention of listening to my opinion, I know that. Duffy wrote up a short statement and dropped it where indicated, but my guess is those will go to the round file when no one’s looking. If you’ve paid attention to the changes made by the government to fishing and fishery regulations, rules and restrictions, you know we’re fighting a losing battle.

You can find links to make comments yourself at WhiteBlaze.net…and I encourage you to do so. Please.

On the way out of the zoo, we noticed an activity which included ziplines and aerial walkways up in the trees…so we decided to stay an extra night and try that first thing in the morning.

It was a BLAST! My legs are sore, and so are my hands (lots of clipping and unclipping), but it was the most fun I’ve had with my clothes on in a very long time!

It’s so nice to have the camper back – Duffy figured out how to get the air conditioner to run, and it was so pleasant…made for a really beautiful weekend.

Busy cleaning up today so gotta run…y’all have a fine day, and thanks for stopping by!

  1. Oh, dear. We haven’t been hiking and camping since SwampMan’s arthritis got so bad, so I hate to find out what they’re proposing now (I still have illusions that one day he’ll be better and things will be like they used to be). It seems that they don’t pay any attention at all to the people that actually use the services (like parents and public school) and instead force changes made by politicians who have no earthly idea what the consequences will be.

    1. That’s exactly right, Swampie. The most dangerous eco-terrorists are the ones who work for or are hired by our own government.
